They should be pretty effective for protection from 2 or 4 legged predators. How heavy are the bullets and what velocity are they advertised at?

I do too. I feel like Blue Dot is a bit more modern version of 2400. Old Elmer would have liked it I think.

The bullets are 204 gr. Looks like the only bullet Hammer makes for the .44. Not sure what powder he used.
