Its that time of year

Just a reminder that hunting season will be here before we know it. Its that time of year to start repairs on the the gear. Fix broken deer stands, replace strings and weights on waterfowl decoys, and make sure firearms arent getting any unwanted rust from sitting in the gun cabinet. Lets get an early start on preperation so this can be a great fall.

I put one doe down with the muzzle loader but as for the waterfowl I think I better start shooting some clays early this year. I think the ducks are flying faster these days.

Still plenty of time to put on extra edge on your conditioning as well. Love looking forward to fall. My biggest need is working on my cow elk calling. Need to get on that and thanks for the reminder.

I love the anticipation hunting season brings almost as much as the hunting itself.

I've been hanging cameras, picked up a new stand, doing some work on the old muzzleloader, reading maps, and finishing up last years' meat.. I need to start shooting the bow regular again though.
