Its finally here, NY deer season

Well after watching alot of you guys here going on your hunts, bow season here is finally open. opening day was yesterday but because of the whole work thing today is it for me. Took my son out this morning and saw 3 does, leaving in a few minutes to take my daughter (her first ever treestand hunt) out. Would love to put a doe on the ground this week.

1st day out was quite productive. Took my son in the morning and had 3 does walk through. No shot offered. Took my daughter out for an afternoon hunt and we saw a 8pt chacing a doe, grunting up a storm. Too far for a shot but it is always fun to watch'em. Thought I was going to get a shot on a doe but I waited to long for the perfect shot and we ended the day with 2 fawns chacing each other around for the last 20 min of light. She had a grin from ear to ear telling everyone about the deer we saw.

Back at in an hour to see what happens.
