It's all about the "likes" . . .

Good grief, such a big deal to shoot a “limit”. I count unrecovered cripples in my total, and sometimes I’ll quit once by I have my wood duck limit, because they are prevalent and I don’t want to mistake a woody hen for a similar-looking puddle duck.

Like all threads, this one took a wrong turn. Probably my fault. Typically lots of free time in a waterfowl blind and after you solve all the world’s problems, a great game is “would I get a ticket if…”

You learn a lot about a person spending time in a waterfowl blind with them. So to my original reply post, I can’t believe people hunt with this jackwad. But I’m also not surprised by people’s confusion on regs. I’ve heard a lot worse.

Possession limits are a real thing if an agency wants them to be. I know some dudes who were not even trying to be influencers who shot lots of birds. Some guys on the refuge didn’t like em. After becoming the target of a full scale investigation including surveillance, warrants and searches the best f&g could come up with was a few pounds to many snack sticks. Tried to get em for Lacey act as I recall. Think it Cost em some money but they got off with just a state possession ticket.

So the question becomes, if I hunt the snow goose conservation. Throw some antelope, some deer, some elk, some snow goose in with every batch of possession limit of snack sticks and label it wild game sticks. What do I got?

I don’t know brother… figure it out.

Waterfowlers as a whole have some of the worst ethics, also some of the most jealous people of others etc. Lots of drama with that many people involved.

Thank you!

This is a pet peave of mine. I love looking through the comments on Facebook hunting groups when someone asks a law question at all the dumb answers. If you are uncertain of a law Why wouldn’t you ask the person writing a ticket verse some idiots on social media? At least here in Iowa there cell phone number is printed in the regulation book.
The questions asked there and responses are mind blowing to say the least.

Ill take your word on that one. Although I've been really close to going to jail over duck hunting. There's a reason I don't go as much anymore and its not a lack of birds.
Agree with your view on waterfowl hunting, and certainly can't explain why, but it certainly isn't exclusive. There is no reason to debate whether flock shooting or herd shooting is more unethical. Kind of seems a-holes are everywhere these days. Maybe social media makes it worse, but if I were a religious man I would be wondering how close we were to the human race getting another biblical-type cleaning.

I think with waterfowlers its just people interact and cross paths a lot more. While I love duck and goose hunting, I hate people (a lot). The more human interactions I have the less I want to keep going.
