Yesterday I had quite the day. I was out working in the shop when a storm blew in. We need rain around here so I was really excited when it started falling. Then the temperature went from 112 to about 80 in 10 minutes. Then the wind picked up and tore my shop to pieces as well as ripped the carport off the ground and tore up my truck and wifes jeep/. See pics below.

On an interesting note the rack brackets that I hang euro skulls on all held up. The only one thet tipped over had a broken main beam which caused it to be unbalanced. Not bad to hold up to those kind of winds. see pic

Another interesting note was my ambulance/hunting wagon/camper did not tip over even though it was exposed to the same winds. Most of the fiberglass rv's and campers in this area were tipped over. see pic

Lots of damaged trees, ripped up roofs and a flipped semi on the highway all within a mile. I am thankful that my family and I made it with no problems. It was a really bad feeling sitting the the bathtub with the wife, daughter, and dogs underneath the mattress praying for it to stop.

Just part of the fun of living in tornado alley.

Holy cow man, that was quite an afternoon! Looks like the insurance man will be spending some time around your place. I'm glad to hear you and the family are ok. If I lived about 2000 miles closer, I'd offer to lend a hand with the cleanup.

Glad to hear you and your family are ok. Certainly could have been worse. We need the rain down here just as bad. I was really hoping that tropical storm that pushed through last week was gonna give us a break, without breaking someone else. No dice on our end. Hope you get everything straightened out.

and one more reason I moved. Glad you're ok, my grownup kids are about 40 miles south of you, they missed the big winds, just the edge of some showers.

Wow, we had 80 mph last thursday night and luckily we had no damage. Hope you get things fixed up without problems.
