Is a custom rifle worth it

I know quite a few dudes who think buying an expensive rifle will make them shoot better.

It doesn't.

the problem is if your gear can outshoot you, you tend to believe the gear rather than you skills.

I've seen guys who have never shot a gun in their life before take a PRC out to 800 yards with solid, repeatable hits inside of an hour with an instructor.

That all falls apart under real world situations and that's where skill, muscle memory and training takes over.

Kind of like why the British teach every soldier to shoot right handed- very few recruits have firearm experience, so its just easier to make them all learn right handed. New shooters have no preconceived habits or skills that need to be un learned and tend to listen to somebody trying to coach them.

I own a rifle that is a very good tool, in the proper hands. It’s only as good as the d!ck behind the trigger.
