Frustrated tonight. Had a nice buck at15 yards and when I drew my bow the arrow falls off the string. I think oh great. He trots off to about 30 yards and stops again. I give it another try and my arrow sinks right in the grass. So I come home and make a stiff drink. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. Good luck to all.

Better get the headlights on the target tonight and take a few shots. Make sure your knock point and peep are in correct position. It's been nutty good here the last 2 days. I have never been one to pass on decent deer but this year I am forcing myself to wait for a big one or shoot a doe later if he never comes by. Had a good 10 pt. (5x5 :) ) plow my buck decoy over tonight at 20 yards. It was quite a sight, and if I had shot the 8 pt. yesterday I wouldn't have gotten tonight's show. It's just great to be out during the rut. Keep at em, and good luck!

nice to hear some of you are having fun in the stand, MN is very screwed up right now hope I get to see a little guy tomorrow on opener

Join the club. After tack driving daily practice shots out to 30 yards, I made a bad shot on what would have been my 2nd best buck ever, a 150" stud Nov. 8. Shot went high. Spent two days tracking only to find his last bed but nothing from there. Had no idea how I could miss broadside at 20 yards until I examined my bow and the Cobra sights were loose, resulting in my pins being 1/4" low = high shot. Bow picked a bad day to screw me. The day before I pinwheeled all my practice broadhead shots. Got some Locktite and secured the screws. My body is trashed from tracking on hands & knees for 2 days.
