Installing QD sling cups into CF stock

Just got my new CF stock in for my rifle build. Now to install some QD sling cups.
Any hints or tips from those that have done this before?
I'm a fairly handy guy and have basic garage tools.
I'm sure YT has several videos but I have more faith in the brain trust here than some random YT'er.

Use blue tape to keep the edges of your holes from chipping. Put the tape on the stock. Mark your center and drill through the tape.

This and also use a brad point bit. Go slow. Use a drill press if you have one.
