I saved bones from a whitetail (there's even a moose femur in my freezer) and I'm thinking it's time to do something with them. It looks like InstaPot will yield faster results. Anyone done this? recipes?

I'd probably like to keep batches smaller but could do something in my big pressure canner if the recipe is tried and true.

I’ve done bone broth in my pressure canner, but didn’t like how cloudy it got after the fact. If you simmer it on the stove you can skim out a lot of the gunk, and end up with a better product.

Not that the stuff from the pressure canner tasted bad, it just didn’t look very good.

Only ever done it in a big stock pot on the stove. One thing regardless of how you do it rub the bones in some salt and roast them in the oven at 400 degrees for about a hour. Makes for a richer stock IMO.
