Who cares what it weighs. Great fish. Good job dad! Are they good eating once they get that size?

‘Preciate it! I haven’t eaten a catfish that we’ve caught in at least two years, but when we do they are all in the 10lb or less range.

We usually just go out to have a little fun and enjoy the water and sky.

We did keep one close to that size once, but anything below the lateral line is too greasy to eat. By the time that you get rid of the fatty belly meat then you waste more than half of the fish. It takes them a good while for them to grow that big, so we just let them go.
