I had a custom rifle built for a good friend, went all out, made it like I would for myself (along with input from him). Well it's finally done and letting it go wasn't easy. I now wish I would have had them make two identical ones, other than one being right-handed. He asked my son to help him get a load developed for it, and I made the mistake of shooting some of the test loads before he took it home. Shooting 4 shot tests, I ended up getting the two smallest groups I've ever shot in my life. I told him if he gets tired of it, I'll hunt with a left-handed rifle. Here are a few pics if you're like me and just like looking at guns - even ones that aren't yours. As he drove away I'm not sure if I got dust in my eye or just emotional. :(

nikster, I could always use more friends, especially friends with fish like the one in your avatar. These are the two best groups of my life, each is a 4 shot group. The guy behind the rifle (me) has plenty of shotgun looking groups, so I'm attributing these to the rifle and the great work at Short Action Customs.

Think you could tighten up those groups a little bit  ?
My son asked if I wanted to "prove it" afterwards - nope, I'll take my "blind squirrel finds a nut" luck and move on. I'll get a chance to shoot the rifle again, but repeating that ain't gonna happen.
