Brownell's Spring Reloading Sale

if you got a Bear - would you make a rug or mount it?

I have a rug, a 3/4 mount, and a full body. You need too have plenty of wall space for rug, plenty of floor space for full body, and a good taxidermist to make a 3/4 look good. I really like the full body but I need to get him off the floor. You may have to see what your wallet can handle. $1000 for full mount, this was in 1994. Good luck getting that trophy.

If you get a rug, make sure you keep the pets away from it. Can't tell you how many times a client has come to me with a rug that smells musty when it didn't smell that way when it came home. 99% of pets will mark a rug......

I like them both, unfortenately the only life-size I have is at my gunsmiths shop. Its a dink bear laying on a log. Nice option for a smaller bear (5 1/2ft) as it hangs on the wall. I also have some rugs there also. I only have 1 rug in the house and I gave 1 to my dad.

Rugs are getting spendy up here. My wife used to charge $875 (last year) and some shops were charging as much as $1400 for a blackie. This is in Anchorage, I'm sure other parts of the state are cheaper (I hope)

I rugged my first one and just tanned the other. I'll probably get a big chocolate rugged if I ever kill one, but the rest will just be tanned.

Like others have said, the rugs are cool but hard to find a place to put.
