I have no help to offer but I hope it works out. Tough spot to be in especially if he already knows about the hunt. Would be tough to break that news to a 10 year old boy.

Yeah hope it works out, my slate is full, I wouldn’t mind helping out either. Just I have conflicting hunt with my daughter on those dates.

The tag can be any Idaho elk tag for the 26/27 season from my understanding. Filled or unfilled

It’s just having an Idaho elk tag, not the same unit elk tag. I had different deer tags for my family member. I spoke with IDFG to make sure the situation was still valid.
