I had private property lined up and so I was ready for this weekend, but today I received a call from the owner saying we could not access his property. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on where to start or an area to target. P.M. please if you wouldn't mind sharing any info, I am not asking for honey holes just areas to start thanks for your help.

What kind of reason were you given? Would do as said from others, but better make sure you are on public by more than a line. Not all maps are within ten feet. Just trying to save you some troubles....

Unit 36 is 96.4% public lands. There are elk all over that unit, always have been.

There is no reason to hunt private lands in that unit, it would just diminish the experience.
