Funny I’ve been lucky on some good tags in the past. But 10 years applying for a cow elk tag with good draw odds and I cannot draw the thing.

Drew a deer tag in an area I’ve wanted to hunt for a while now. First ID tag I’ve drawn in 10 years of applying.

If upset about waiting in a line just wait until tomorrow. They are also emailing results. Would you rather them filter people in or just let everyone log in and the system crash. It’s not just Idaho with tech issues.

Hard for me to complain when we have results mid June. I’ve also received emails on all 3 of my applications. Pretty good response considering.

I went rogue this year. Applied for my favorite deer tag - no luck and no surprise not getting it. Applied for a cow permit(s) and an antelope permit(s) I have never applied for before and got both a cow and a pronghorn permit - yay! Neither is a glory tag, but I am excited to hunt some new ground and drawing the permits is forcing me out of my OTC comfort zone. Let the learning curve begin.

After my bad luck year after year and my kids' ability to draw tags, you can't tell me there isn't preference given to youth hunters. i don't mind though, I enjoy hunting with my kids almost more than I do myself. My second son and youngest daughter both drew really good elk tags.
