My son & I have plans to hunt this area in June this year and I was wondering if anyone in this forum has hunted bear in Units 19 /20. From reading the research paper of the Idaho Fish & Game regarding the bears in this area, the conclusion seems to be there are so many here that they migrate and supply other surrounding units. The area is generally south of Elk City/Dixie. If you have hunted these areas, I am curious as to the number and sizes of bear you have encountered here. Any information or experiences you can share regarding these units will be greatly appreciated. We are both novices at bear hunting and would like to get as much information on the subject as possible before the hunt.
