This bust was a daunting task. Piecing it back together then adding filler and molding missing pieces. Color matching followed and a happy customer.

A customer had it shipped it came here busted up. I had started the repairs before I took the 1st pic.

This was a challenge. The vase on the end had a shattered base. I turned a new base, coated it with a blue 2 part epoxy.
The customer was totally amazed. I reserched the bust and found it to be 1850's by a well know sculpture in France. She had no idea it's worth. 11k-14k
Picture Sequence 3,4,1,2,5

I know nothing about this but your patience must be way up there. I’m impressed.

@mdcrossbow after a repair is something like that bust back to full value or does a repaired item decrease in value? I try not to let my grandkids near anything valuable, but I think I'll keep your info just in case. Great skill and craftsmanship!

It all depends on the object and how old it is. I did a 1450s Chinese bowl from the national archives archives that holds its value. The bust will hold its value . And it really comes down to how well the job is done. I tend to watch history and Discover channels when they are showing restorers from around the world.

You have skills!

Is that all self taught, trial and error?

20 years ago I watched a beautiful Lladro figurine crash to the floor into pieces and get swept up and thrown in the garbage.

I have repaired a number of LLadro's over the years. Goes with out saying they need to be perfect.
Porcelain repair has been mostly self taught. Kind of went along with the Painting conservation and gilding one thing serves another.
I don't like just settling into one aspect in the field of restoration which keeps me wanting to learn more. It's like I'm practicing on each job because each job is different with new challenges.
