Yep, ran out of fuel. About a mile past the gas station I realized I was low on fuel. Then the warning light came on as we pulled into the storage area to unloads my horse trailer. Had to drive around in there to find the storage bin and when we left, it ran out about a mile from the station. Well I had to call my my mechanic and they came up with some diesel fuel for me and then the priming and draining of the air began. Sucks to run out of fuel with diesel. :(

Sucks to run out of any kinda fuel...
At least you had some one to come and help, two years ago, I bought a truck that ran on propane, the guage wasn't working proper and when I was on my way to the station it ran out of fuel...
You can't just get some one to bring over a little propan...
I had to get the truck towed...
That one went by the wayside very quick on a trade in.... ;)

That does suck.... It did happen to me.. But worse is Putting Gas in yer Diesle truck.. OHHH ya !!! Been there done ALL that :D

I bought two Jeeps Last year, Do not trust a Jeep's gas gauge! First time was checking my Game Camera at the Deer lease, two miles off the Blacktop, made it back to the blacktop by swerving back and forth! :D Next time it was just driving down the road, so don't put $10 in, fill a Jeep up and then set the Trip meter and refill at 225 miles!

Russ, I had a propane work truck and the damn thing froze up. Solid ice under the hood. Had to have it towed to the propane place and have it thawed. Froze up again on the way home, had to have it towed 60 miles. :D

Moosie, at least I never put regular gas in it. ;) I thought of you as soon as I ran out. I think it was a couple of years ago when you ran out, perhaps in Oregon? I will try to remember not to put gasoline in.

Draftstud, my gauge said I still had an eith of a tank. Hell that is more than 4 gallons which should have been plenty to go 4 miles.

LOL scottymack. :D

LMAO You guy's...
I alway's thought the E meant extra emergency...
Boy was I wrong when I made my wife have to walk with me a few plus miles to a gas station and back.. HAHAHA!!!!!
Yep Bill, never again on some thing that is run off propane, unless I can cook with it...

Huh?????Sounds like you went for the heated tailgate and fancy brake light covers instead of the gas guage...LOL :D With a FORD it all comes standard. Or you could just be skillful and run out of gas 1 1/2 miles from your house like me...LOL :D LOL :D
Quick Draw

That never happens in an oil rich province like Alberta..Ok maybe once. I also run a truck with dual fuel propane/gas. I never run on propane when the temperature drops. Hard starts and prone to freezeing along with a drop in power.

Or what else is really good to do..and also good timing is to run out of gas when you pull up to the gas pump. That hasn't happened to me though.
