Well first off I really would like some help.. Here is the layout.

I am a dental student in AZ and next year (fall/spring of 2007) we are going out into community dental clinics to do dental work 4 weeks at a time. We have a list of communities to go to and I would like some input from some of you that have any experience hunting around these areas. I'm looking for OTC hunts with the most options to hunt, archery preferred, but not required. Maybe areas with longer seasons or more of a variety, since I'm not going to get to pick the exact time I'll be sent there. I'm not necessarily looking for high quality hunting, just the options to spend weekends out in the woods.
Here is a list of places that I have the option to go. If anyone has much insight to these places I would appreciate any info.

Idaho-
Boise (maybe I'll get to meet the infamous Moosie) :)
Plummer

Oregon
Hood River

CO

Lamar
Sterling
Alamosa
Montrose
Colorado Springs
Greely
Marillac?

Montana
Butte
Libby
Missoula
Billings

Not much help here... but the only OTC big game tag you can get in MT as a NR is a doe deer, or a bear tag. Plenty of fishing and bird hunting to be had though.

In CO, I'd choose Montrose. It's the only town on the Western Slope (read: fewer people). Lots of over-the-counter elk options, and you could probably find some leftover deer licenses as well. Alamosa would probably be second choice.
