I need help!!!

OK, I am trying to install our HD Scanner on our computer (compac) and the computer (with xp on it) will not allow me to load it. It will load just fine on our old Emachine with a lesser version of windows. Anybody know what the problem could be?

turn computer off... put cd in ... turn computer on see if that will work

Look on the net for a patch for XP, thats what I had to do for our Compac running XP to run a Musteck scanner and also when we changed to a Brother.

I had to find a funny little thing to click on once, installing a scanner. They kept moving where you click to get the job done, eventually I found the spot, clicked on it, and it finished installing. That was a long time ago though.

Are you an administrator of the machine?? Ir not start in safe mode by hitting F8 the admin password if no one has changed it will be temp. Then try to install.
