I just bought a tent....

How many of you guys use an external frame on a 12x14 wall tent? I just picked one up from a buddy of mine. My 12x14 that I’ve had for years has an internal frame.
Trying to get some info from the guys in the know. External? Or internal frame?

I can’t speak to the external frame. I use internal for both. If you have the room for internal poles, the set up and simplicity are great.

Windy areas I’ll take an internal frame. If in a area wind is blocked either is fine

The internal is easy to set up. I may have to get one set up for this tent I just picked up.

I have 2 Davis tents, a 10x12 and a 14x16. Internal for both. It’s just so easy when you roll into camp at 2 am to use the internal. Sturdy in the wind as well.
