Hydration drinks?

Why is that? Serious question. Just not enough of it in our diet anymore?
I would assume so. As we advanced and made water more readily available we cleaned it more and more. And obviously that was the right move as diseases and sicknesses transferred via waterborne pathogens and such probably dropped off significantly.
I’m just jealous.

I’ve honestly never understood why someone would buy that. With the help of ro , I’ve been trying to take much better care of my health lately—being more intentional with what I eat and drink. Loading up on sugary or overly processed drinks just doesn’t fit into that plan. I’m focusing more on hydration, balanced nutrition, and sticking to habits that actually support my long-term wellness.

do they taste alright? I find a lot of them have a real bad after taste.

Mtn Ops hydrate seems pretty good I reckon. I use LMNT as I am always in ketosis and enjoy it.

Put a pinch of celtic salt or Maldons salt in your water. Its all you need and so much cheaper. 80 plus minerals. Anyhow a great way to gauge a product is look at the b12. If its cyanocobalamin, its made from cyanide and robs more nutrients from your cells than it gives you. Its cheap and most drinks use it. Good ones don't. They'll use a different form of b12. Or just use a quality salt

Respectfully, check again. Cyanocobalamin is not toxic or harmful in standard hydration or supplement doses. It’s not “made from cyanide” in a dangerous way, nor does it rob nutrients. While other B12 forms may be more bioavailable, cyanocobalamin is still effective and safe. Even for the 1/10000 people who fall into the cautionary class (severe kidney disease), no documented harm even if taking 1000X the recommended dose. The "cautions" are a marketing ploy. Cyanocobalamin remains one of the safest substances ever studied in human supplementation.

I have been wildland firefighting for the past few summers and Mtn Ops has carried me through some long, hard days. They have hydration and/or energy options that taste very good, no sugar, no crash. They have a ton of flavors too. A little pricy, about $35 for a pack of 30.
