Hunting Rifle Triggers

The contrast between walnut & black would be good. My 338 is in an old remodel 30s stock. It would complement that as well as the 7mm AI.

I'll full length bed the 7mm, and float the bbl. Relieved the action & bbl chanel already. I'm stripping the finish off it as well. I'm thinking straight danish oil with a coat or two of truoil on top as a sealer coat. Still trying to decide if I want to thin the stock a bit. Those ruger factory stocks are thick and square, but usually have a decent grain under their varnish.
I vote for a Ruger weight reduction. 😁

I like 1.5-2# pull weight on hunting rifles.

Had a handful of timneys and trigger tech on m700 patterns. Factory, factory with revised spring, and KRG midas on Tikka. Various M700 type triggers in general seem to be more susceptible to being clean and dry. I've had timneys that had unreliable ignition in cold weather conditions but didn't dig deep enough to fully diagnose the issues.
