I liked the fact that when I saw a title (new topic) I could scan over the title and get a "small" idea of what the topic was about. The first few lines without opening up the entire topic. Maybe I'm lazy, however, that's not there any more.

It is a quirk with Internet Explorer. See this explanation for the web guys who are working to solve it with the forum interface.

I tracked down the issue with the preview not showing up on threads with new posts in IE. It is a bug, basically IE8-10 was rendering in IE7 mode before which caused other problems with the layout because of bugs in IE7 so I forced it to use the most recent rendering mode available to it which apparently has it's own bug. That bug is that IE8-10 links do not show titles (that's what the previews are) when there is a tag inside the anchor (in this case a strong tag, which makes the text bold).

I am fine when I use Chrome of Firefox.

Thanks guys. I am still using Explorer so that's the problem. It always worked fine in the past. I can live with it.
