Extremely rare Burgess wrist slide action shotgun, made in 1890. It has 2 1/2 inch chamber, Damascus barrel with a solid rib. I also have an even more rare version with a folding stock.

Burgess was second only to John Browning in his inventive genius in regards to gun patents and development. He worked with Eli Whitney, Marlin, Colt and others to make innovative firearms. He started his own company in 1890 and was bought out and shut down by 1895.
