How to repair cooler?

I have two Coleman Extreme coolers that have the hinges popped on them. I have seen people use canvas fire hose, but what I'm wondering how to best attach the canvas to the cooler edges? Self tappers or sheet metal screws?

what ever will grab the plastic,,,you can also pick up replacement hinges at your local bi mart too

I was wondering about small hollow wall anchors? Little molly bolts might hold...... (said the man with two extreme coolers with popped/broken hinges).

Maybe some kind of epoxy resin adhesive?
