how to pack out a rack

Antlers down and lashed off or over the shoulder. I see a few racks posted with racks up and makes me wonder why??

Tried to pack my bull out with antlers down this year and his antlers kept getting hung up on brush and rocks. Had to go rack up with the pack I was using at the time.

I had a two hour hike down a steep gully and over deadfall so I kept the tines up, but it was pretty top heavy. Pack weighed 96 pounds... I like bambistew's stick idea.

I was asking for greenhorn. The poor guy doesn't appear to store enough fuel on-board and will need frequent snacks.
