Wow! I have been looking over hundreds of bulls in western MT and have not seen one packing that much bone yet.

Hundreds of bulls in Western MT?? I thought the wolves ate them all... you must be mistaken!

That bull has absolutely awesome fronts.... for some reason, it doesn't look like his top end is going to follow suit, but if it did.... yeah, 360!

360??? IMO it doesn't look like he'll be quite that big. Good bottom, but I doubt he'll finish out to match on top.

I think he will be lucky to make 6 on both sides at this point. If he was to be a decent 6 this year, he should already be at that G-5/main beam split by now.

LOL You guys are funny. OK, let me qualify, I have seen somewhere between 100-200 bulls since mid-april. Bear hunting, scouting, cutting firewood, and hell right off the highway. Granted some were the same bulls on different days. And yes in the 'root.

so in a 1 1/2 month you don't think he will grow out....I was surprised to see one with this much...I think he is going to push 400!!

That guy doesn't have a lot of growing left to do. He'll spend most of the next month and a half putting on density. I would agree, he'll probably finish as a 5pt, or possibly have short 5ths. Nice bull, but I dont' think he'll get anywhere near 360. If he's in a spot you can watch him for the next month it would be cool to see what he finishes out as... velvet also makes them look a lot bigger.

Were you scouting or in RMNP?

I saw some bulls out near Evergreen a few weeks ago at the farm that were pushing close to that much horn.

I would have to agree that when he's done he may not be anything but a nice 5x5 with huge fronts. I'm also surprised he's that far along for the first week of June and I also don't think he has that much more length to put on before he's done.

When he completes antler growth, he will be a 5X6 that will score 317 6/8.
Next year, he will make it to 341 3/8, provided 42.6 inches of precipitation. He will be wounded during archery season, but survive only to be harvested during the 2nd rifle season by a hunter from Nebraska.
or maybe not.
