So I have a bad habit of trying to make my stainless firearms as rugged and resistant to corrosion as possible (at any cost). My latest project that I just finished was changing the front sight base on my new super redhawk revolver.

The post 2013 super redhawks feature a screw on one piece base made out of blued steel. I would have none of this so my journey to find a suitable replacement in stainless steel began.

I found all of the parts online without issue, but the one piece that I could not find in aluminum or stainless was the DX front blade, but alas, it is now changeable without removing and replacing the whole base.

Anyone who is interested in how I did this let me know or if anyone is as crazy about keeping stainless firearms completely stainless, post up!
