Here comes summer

85 degrees on the plains of southern georgie. I guess this aftican dust storm has weakened the suns rays or something because this is the coolest it's been in weeks
If y'all could recall your gnats to back below the gnat line, that'd be great. If they don't stop getting out of pocket, I will have to move.
 
88 here yesterday. It'll be hotter today. Dry very dry here. Living in a double rain shadow makes it very hard to get moisture into the valley.
 
Drove from La Grande to Boise on Friday. Saw there had been one big burn on the Idaho side of the Snake River at Farewell Bend, 1000 acres or so and probably another 1/2 dozen small starts along the freeway. April and May were well below normal rain and snow in North East Oregon. Talked to a Hydrologist who had just surveyed the Eagle Cap area of Oregon, snow melt well ahead of schedule. It’s going to dry out fast if we don’t get rain.
