Jose, Patagonia is nice [ daytime] Museum of the horse antique buggies, stagecoach etc...Karchner caverns toward Benson...Bisbee mines..... A drive up in the Catalina Mountains is right out of Tucson...Tombstone etc,etc... lots to do around Tucson.... Just tell them to not be on the border at night... and I hope they are both Packing Heat!

THere is a great observatory on top of Mount Lemon just a bit east of town. It's not that far to the bio-dome.

Mt. Lemon would be a stop I'd make for sure.

I would recommend going to tombstone and to chiricahua state park. Both really cool.
