Help me pick out a new stock

So my first ever new out of the box rifle was purchased 2 years ago. It's a Weatherby Vanguard Highcountry in 6.5prc. (Link Here) I put a VX-5HD on it that I got from Schmalts and I took my first animals with it last year on pronghorn hunts in Wyoming and Montana (I still need to do the write-up and the pressure is building to post the story). This year I drew a late rifle elk tag in Arizona a planned to take this rifle over my model 700 .308.

I decided to get a bi-pod to install on it and chose a Tricer bi-pod. 4th of July weekend I setup to install the bi-pod and as I was screwing down the mount on the sling stud I found out the hard way that the sling studs are just screwed into the plastic with a course thread screw. No metal threads, no nut, no anything to hold it in place other than the cheap plastic. So out came the screw and a big hunk of plastic with it. So, now I either have to Frankenstein some sort of 'fix' to allow the sling stud to be permanently fixed, or swap the entire thing and get a new stock with a sling stud or other rail system to be able to attach my bi-pod.

So here's where I need your help! I was originally just going to get a Boyd's laminate with a thumb-hole and call it a day. But now I'm curious about what else is out there. I'm open to all options and am even considering some type of chassis system. So what say you HT rifle modifiers? What are your favorite options for replacements stocks or chassis systems? I'm open to any and all options. I'd like to stay under $500. Looking cool is okay, but really I'm more interested in functionality and light weight (although I know lighter weight normally costs more, so weight isn't really a deal-breaker for me). The only thing I'm not interested in is classic walnut/wood stocks.

Thanks all for the recommendations!!

I've used three Boyds stocks, two Prairie Hunter and one Heritage. One stock was for a modified receiver and required a bit of fitting for the recoil lug and barrel, the two unmodified receivers dropped right in. And depending on color choice, be mindful. I ordered one of the stocks in "nutmeg" and received "coyote". They make decent stocks, but for the prices they charge now, I'd look else where for a laminate stock. I can dig up some pictures of the Boyd's if you want to see them.

The MDT field stock mentioned above is definitely worth a look, my brother has one and it's comfortable.

I recently received a Woox Wildman as a gift, but haven't been able to take it to the range and see how it shoots yet. The Woox may be above the $500 price range.

I think the price-point for the MDT and the fact it checked all the boxes for what I NEED is going to have me order the Field Stock from them. Ill post some follow up picks once it arrives!

I did similar in my tikka factory stock.
I think I touched on that here. If not exacts you can see pics.
Drill the hole out and fill with epoxy into the barrel channel. Let it set up and screw your sling stud back into place.
That was the thought that immediately popped into my head and if I had some epoxy on hand I wouldn't have hesitated to jump into that. As I looked it up on other forums and people who have used that 'fix' before, the impression I got was it didn't really hold up long term. I might still try it and have it as a backup.

They also make threaded studs. Throw a nut and washer and epoxy in place. Unless you just want to get a new stock. Fully understand that too

You can epoxy a T nut from inside the barrel channel also. Sling studs are 10/32 thread. I just finished another one this weekend. It’s pretty easy.

But any excuse to buy a new stock is always a good idea!
