Huntalkers,
I have started (today) a gofundme campaign in order to try and house, or at least keep warm, as many homeless veterans as possible here in the Springs by next Winter. Due to a large military population (a divisional Army post and 2 Air Force bases) we have quite a number of vets who are out of the military for various reasons, have many problems and find themselves without shelter. Many of these folks will not seek help from any type of shelter/mission if it comes with any strings attached. I want nothing more to give them a safe, warm and dry place to sleep. I am blessed to have this and feel my brothers and sisters in arms deserve the same. I would love to be able to get a "place" by the winter but if that isn't possible I will use ALL proceeds to get equipment to keep these folks as warm and dry as possible. Please help if you can and share the link with EVERYONE you know. Here is the link

Feel free to ask me anything on your mind.

Thanks,
SFC B

SFC,

Have you ever thought of contacting Dave Roever and seeing if something can be done in cooperation with his ministries?

I'll pray and see where I'm led.

Zach,
Dave certainly does have a powerful message and story. The group I am trying to reach here are those that generally stay away from missions and faith based help (we have some good ones here). As a Chaplain's NCO I come into contact with folks like this quite a lot who, for what ever reason, are not ready or willing to hear the word or even recieve help that they feel is faith-attached. I want to give to them and hope that my presence and them simply knowing who I am and what I do might encourage them to seek their faith as well as being cared for. Going where you are led and doing something is all I can ask. Have a great day!!

Got my first donations and am super excited. I know that those, along with my part will at least out fit one vet come fall!!
