Hearing protection

For those of you that use hearing protection while bird hunting what are you finding that works good? Something that doesn’t pick up a ton of wind noise would be great. Trying to get some ideas to try before I end up springing for a shotgun suppressor

I'm planning to try the custom molded phonak plugs with impulse filters...but dont have them yet

Upland hunting hearing protection

What are you upland hunters using for hearing protection? After developing tinnitus a few years ago, my days of hunting without hearing protection are over. I’ve used Walkers ear muffs last year and this season but looking to upgrade. Willing to spend the money to get something of good...

I've tried ear protection while I'm hunting and it drives me crazy. Now I have some plugs on cords hanging off the front of my vest. When she goes on point the first thing I do is put them in. I miss a lot of opportunities at wild flush birds, but worth it to me. Takes a while to get in the habit, but if you hunt over a pointing breed it may be worth a try.

Walkers Game ears with custom molded plugs. Sure, wind noise can be annoying but being hard of hearing is way worse. I don't know of a solution to the wind noise.

Nothing like tinnitus in your 30's. I wish I had a dollar for everytime my wife asks if I'm deaf. "Yes, we've been over this several times, yes I am"
