It’s like being born with one leg shorter than the other - you can’t make it back to normal but there are options to mitigate the symptoms.

Hearing test due to tinitus shows borderline mederate loss at high frequency. Only other symptom is pulling a single voice in a crowded room

Went to consult yesterday and they put s $7500 pair on, behind the ear. Instanly tinnitus was mostly gone but noises i hadnt heard were there, such as ac fan. My voice was weird, wife said i talked a bit quieter. Other people in the room were the same, MAYBE a bit cleaner. Went out to waiting room and there was now a fan nosie that actually blocked out the tv that i could hear before the devices

Not really a fan of behind the ear

Been reading about links to dementia and other mental decline links due to hearing loss

Wondering if i should go for it. Insurance pays
