Hi Ben, It's time to give back. Each year hunters visit our favorite communities across the state as we go afield to chase deer, elk, antelope, and birds or throw a line along our favorite stretch of the river. Whether we're grabbing ice from the local grocery store, a burger and beer in your local bar, or a quick snooze in the local bunkhouse, local communities welcome us with open arms and give so much to hunters. Enter HB 383, the Community Conservation Fund. If passed, when a hunter or angler applies for their licenses, they would have the opportunity to make a voluntary donation that would go into a grant pool for rural community programs, such as 4H. The idea is to create a way for hunters to give back to the communities we frequent during the hunting season. The hearing is Thursday at 3 p.m. and needs your support. By 5 p.m. Wednesday February 8, you MUST submit your written testimony or request a Zoom link to testify in the bill hearing. |
