So I'm watching a huntin show on our TV, just on the right of our front window, n this commercial comes on.
I notice a squirrel in the front yard just hopping around like a squirrel would do.
The commercial shows this hunter sorta prone, leaning on a rock, lining up a shot up on a ridge. The camera is to the hunters side and he is aiming to the left side of the TV. The cam is back a bit so you see prolly 15' around him on the ridge.
He could be aiming at the squirrel, it's that perfect (but I didn't think of this at the time)
He squeezes the trigger, the recoil is evident and the squirrel jumps in the air, lands on his back n bolts off.
Can't say what startled the poor tree rat, but the timing was perfect.
I know, I know.....0945 on a fair hunting day.....what da heck are u doin on the couch watching stupid "canned hunt" shows? Well, I got a few chores to get done this mornin' n I'm dragging my feet. Don't worry, I'll walk over to the State Forest for an evening hunt and I'll chuckle in the woods thinking of that squirrel.
