Can't wait to take my birthday present out and do the barrel break-in. I'm thinking it'll be a sub-MAO shooter with little effort.

Do you think it's too little gun for elk? I'm sure it would be fine, but my hunting partner insists I go with a magnum pellet rifle.

I have to admit, I'm impressed with the finish on it. Seems durable, and it has a real wood stock!

Kid looks like a natural born hunter, Baerman. :)

What kind of BB are you running in it? Drop at 500 yards?

We are working in our loads still. So far the Daisy Double B Premium Grades Zinc Plated Ultra Smooth .177 cal round is the ticket!

I think you got your units wrong. Drop at 500 Inches is about 3". The round is so efficient, I don't think I need to scope the gun. Open sights all day long.

The boy jumped from his bow to bb gun all day long when we were in camp. And when he wasn't shooting he was tracking deer around camp by the age of droppings. I think he is on the right path.
