Gratuitous Fish and River Photos

Decided to fish more this year as well, forcing myself to do so by buying a boat and having to justify the move to the wife! With this mild winter we’ve been out hammering the Kokanee!
Fatties!

Back in the mid 70s, when school was out we would head over there. Spend the morning fishing the Metolius or Descuttes arms and then ski back to the camp ground. After brunch we would take off and ski the entire shoreline, pull our mud bug traps and then have dinner. Love that place.

It's a great place to winter and spring fish. I tend to avoid it more in the summer as it gets pretty busy (narrow lake) once the sun hits the water. Focus more then on the other cascade lakes or head over to Wallowa.

With all the growth around central Oregon I can only immagine how busy that lake is. I do miss the high lakes around there but now that I live outside La Grande I just don’t get over their anymore.

Yup Bend is a circus anymore but we enjoy where we are at the other side of Prineville and we are only 10-15 minutes from the ramp here.

Still come over your way for Wallowa each year and occasionally meet friend at Morgan or Wolf Creek Res nearby.
