Fatties!Decided to fish more this year as well, forcing myself to do so by buying a boat and having to justify the move to the wife! With this mild winter we’ve been out hammering the Kokanee!
Yeah they’ve been footballs this year so far…bellies but longest to date was only 13”. The bull trout have been pushing 10# though, makes for a fight on Kokanee gear lolFatties!
Looks like Billy Chinook?Weather is crazy nice again today… high 70s. Was snowing last year on Patty’s day! Doggo thinks he’s the Capt’n
Yup you are correct sir! There's about 10-12 lakes here we fish on a pretty regular basis but Billy has really been producing well all winter. If we could just get the size up a touch....a bit more Wallowa-ishLooks like Billy Chinook?
It's a great place to winter and spring fish. I tend to avoid it more in the summer as it gets pretty busy (narrow lake) once the sun hits the water. Focus more then on the other cascade lakes or head over to Wallowa.Back in the mid 70s, when school was out we would head over there. Spend the morning fishing the Metolius or Descuttes arms and then ski back to the camp ground. After brunch we would take off and ski the entire shoreline, pull our mud bug traps and then have dinner. Love that place.
