I would put Dall Sheep about number one on my bucket list, but only a few things prevent goint to Alaska to catch that dream. Money and remoteness!

I have been fortunate enough to get all the big game species in Montana, including Grizzly and Wolf, but Dall Sheep has been an evasive critter. They are beautiful and in some of the prettiest country in the world.

I have been to Alaska many times and gotten caribou, black bear, Grizzly and all sorts of fish, just no Dall Sheep. Jerry fisher was a prolific gun maker and I have been in contact with his wife Celeste for a few years and did some photography of Jerry's shop and a few guns. Celeste offered to sell me Jerry's Dall Sheep he got back in the mid 80's, so I bought it and saved myself some dough!

Nice ram Kirk, but unless I owned a bar or sporting goods store to put them in, I only put mounts that I shot in my house.;)

They are awesome looking animals. Sheep are on my list but way way down. Not because I wouldn’t want to but because I’m closing in on fifty and the point game is never going to work in my favor.

Persistence pays off! For me if I was younger I’d want to hunt a Stone ram. I’ve hunted in northern bc and seen them taken.

Do you have one of his rifles in your collection? That would be cool if you did.
I did buy one Jerry made in 1967 for a WWII bomber pilot. I even got his flight logs from WWII. I have a picture when I got it from Celeste. I have been trying to get another one from her that is displayed in the rack in the picture.

I shot a deer with it last fall...

Just dont get what the joy is in carrying a rifle with tupperware for a stock.

That square bridge Mauser is sexier than the sheep.

Which is an odd thing for a Wyoming kid to say, but I said it.
