Goodbye Black Diamond. - School me on headlamps

I've been very pleased with my Coast headlight. Three different settings for the main light from dim to very bright, red and green light, and it's been bulletproof for the last 3 years. Only downside I'd say is it eats batteries a bit faster then most headlamps I've used but not to bad.
Fenix and Coast are the two brands still this race.

Which one will I not lose because i put it in a jacket pocket and packed the jacket away for the summer....Asking for a friend..

I have a Fenix HM50R with 1 extra battery. Plugs into my phone charger. I walk in the dark a lot and in 2 seasons I have never used the spare battery. I will never go back to a non-rechargeable light. I have a couple of black diamond lights that I rarely use in the woods since I got the Fenix.

I should note, don’t leave your Fenix on and throw it in your puffy pocket even for a minute. For some weird reason if causes down to appear. I also set it down for a very short time on my pickup middle console. I thought I caught it quickly as I recalled my jacket incident. Too late, it left a nice little circle.🤬 Operator error.🤬

A couple different rechargeable ones. Gifts. However I prefer the coast HL8R. This lite uses 4 AA batteries which is handy when in the bush with little sun to recharge.

Nearly experienced this with the Sofirn too. It's stupid bright on the highest setting and you can feel it getting warm quickly in the hand.

I'm happy with my Fenix HM65R.

I bought a couple Sofirn headlamps too for use around the house and in vehicle kits. They seem to be good for the price.

Anyone looking for a rechargeable flashlight with some amazing light try the wurkkos td04. $35ish on Amazon

Could a guy use it to light a smoke?

I tried a fenix a couple years back off of @Frequently Banned Troll recommendation and haven’t turned back. I own a lot of them now. A couple have gone to Alaska and ended up in the washing machine. Couldn’t tell you which ones because they all still work amazing
HM65r-t is my go to for hunting. I own two. One for cap and one for the field. I prefer the version one but v2 is still the best headlight I own that you can still by. I keep the v2 in camp and v1 in my pack. I use them all the time though for fixing vehicles and late night projects. This was Friday night.

I’ve owned a lot of petzl lights and bd over the years. The they are all spares now that live in the camper, vehicles, and first aid kits just in case I don’t have my fenix.
