Took my buddy from PA. elk hunting in 2018, this year he asked if I could get his dad and cousin on some bulls in a rifle hunt. I said sure apply for this tag if ya dont draw I got a backup plan. They drew and will be here in october. Now I would take almost anyone hunting I find it as enjoyable as taking myself hunting and they know that. But the appreciation they have for being able to come across country and hunt has shown with this bar top they built and surprised me with for my work in progress basement and are bringing out to me when they come.
They are from my hometown so the wood comes from where I grew up one hillside over from my great grandparents land which has cool meaning. The arrows are old school chuck Adam's edition XX75 the first arrows I ever shot and the bamboo fly rod is just because they know my passion for fly fishing. Very grateful to have people like this in my life. To me the lifelong friendships are plenty enough but they go the extra mile! I could of bought a bar top but it would of never had the same sentimental attachment.
