There’s nothing wrong with spikes. Elk is elk and I still consider any elk a trophy. I will always take the first legal elk I see, it is nice when that is a bull however.

Getting 2 and possibly 3 elk this year does keep you busy hunting for elk and freezers…

I do agree completely, any elk is a well earned Trophy. Really like that knife,

15 yr old grandson, shown with his gnarly antlered bull in thread "ELK ... Let's See EM", brought his shotgun, so dad and papa got to shoot elk that morning. Double on cow elk, but grandson, not to be outdone, took a double on grouse.

A friend of mine made knives for years until his hands and wrists started hurting all the time. This one is a damascus knife with treated scales that he put on. I don't remember what the wood is, but it is elegant. I have several of his knives and they are all of the highest quality in materials and craftsmanship

Something about a well made knife, the quality may be subtle but just the same, it’s there.
