GoHunt vs. OnX

OnX is better for me for 2 reasons:
1. Cheaper
2. More detailed information about local FWAs. GOHUNT only listed these as “state” land.

Gohunt is still missing the travel management areas where I hunt in NE Oregon. Three years now, twice given a link to public maps, and still MIA.

I have just started using GoHunt, but I have used HuntStand for years. I will use both this year in the field and see how they compare.

Did you guys see this? GoHunt recently added this 'Explorer' feature as seen below. The further west I move, the more of the "clouds" are lifted to reveal the map to me. It's the damndest thing, I keep crossing ridges just to see what's new over there, can't stop.

Also a lot of the map is darkened and the land status is hard to see because I went to an area that I didn't set up offline maps before I left the house. Even though I have 5G, I should know better than to rely on that so this is helping instill in me better planning and habits.

All snark aside, this is a great tool on the desktop and an absolute liability in the field. I'm on year three of hoping it gets better and keeping paper maps in the glovebox. I'm going to save the money next year and just buy more maps.
