Hi,
I am planning a first rifle season, bivy style, elk hunt in unit 78. This will be my first Western hunt and I am having some trouble choosing an area. I have multiple areas marked on Onx that I think look like they should hold elk but I need to narrow it down some. I'm not asking for anyone's honey hole but if anyone has hunted this unit and wants to help out a noob, I would really appreciate the help. Any advice on likely elevation for 1st rifle, preferred food sources for this season, types of terrain they might be in, where the crowds tend to be or any other advice that might be able to help me narrow down these markers. As of now, my map looks like a Christmas tree I have so many "spots" lol.
