Stealing an idea from Rokslide, which was a lot of fun. Slightly altered.

A friendly shooting competition. You win nothing. You build skills and have less time to argue minutiae.

Rules. 100 yard range

Target. NRA B-8, printed on 8.5x11. A round outside the 8, but on paper will be scored a 7 unless the course of fire states otherwise. If you want to use your target for multiple stages just cover holes.

If you are not zeroed at 100 yards and want to put a target dot on your target they would correspond to the correct POA/POI, feel free. No need to over complicate what is supposed to be fun.

Firearm. Your choice. If a stage requires more rounds than your rifle holds, the reload is included in the shot time.

Scoring. Line cuts score up. Honor system for times and scoring. If your shot is after the timer it counts as a zero for that shot. You suck if you cheat.

Post your targets in a SINGLE post ( you can edit to add them) and put your point tallies at the top.

I’ll add four more stages to this thread as we go. Deadline for completion is 8/10. We will total points and x’s. If we have a tie we’ll do a shoot off.

You can shoot these at your leisure, with a warm up or dry fire if you choose. However, it would be extremely poor form to shoot these stage four times and cherry pick the best target. Have the cajones to call your shots.

You don’t need to post that you’re in. Simply shoot and post your targets and scores to try and keep the clutter to a minimum.

Any questions on rules will be clarified in this original post.

Stage 1:
rifle slung (or rifle bearer)
chamber empty
Chamber a round and fire offhand (hasty sling is acceptable) within 12 seconds.
Repeat 3x for a total of four rounds. Rounds must be on paper for scoring.

Stage 2:
Standing, rifle slung
Chamber empty
Chamber a round, go to sitting (unsupported but hasty sling is okay)
and fire two rounds in 20 seconds
Rounds must be on paper for scoring

Stage 3:
Standing, rifle slung
Chamber empty
Chamber a round, go to prone (unsupported but hasty sling is okay)
and fire two rounds in 20 seconds
Rounds must be on paper for scoring

Stage 4:
Standing, rifle slung
Chamber empty
Chamber a round, fire two rounds offhand, go to prone (unsupported but hasty sling is okay) fire two more rounds in 40 seconds
Rounds must be on paper

Okay. Here’s my target. Offhand continues to be my nemesis. Top left is 1, top right 2, bottom left 3 and bottom right is 4.

Stage 1 28
Stage 2 19 1x
Stage 3 20
Stage 4 29

Total 96 1x

Kimber Hunter 6.5CM

The times all seem fair. You’ll have to hustle.

I’m going to try to come back to this post. I don’t have any range time scheduled for the next few weeks. Hoping the end of August and September are better! Still love this idea!

I like this challenge. Clarifying point: I assume the NRA target has to stay as is (no adding a colored dot to the center, etc)?

You posted this the day before I went to the range and I didn't have any of those targets ready. Have them now and fully intend to give it a go next range day.
