Spending time with family is great and an activity my girlfriend and I both enjoy is driving across town, to the house I grew up in, and shooting our bows at the archery range I built in the single acre backyard. After a few rounds Mother Nature began calling as my girlfriend walked between the coast live oaks to do her part in warding off this California drought. Unbeknownst to the both of us, the Christmas gift I gave my mother to monitor the wildlife was set up in those same oaks. Needless to say, if I hadn't air mailed an arrow and come across that trail camera, my mother would've had quite the surprise later on that cam.
