FS supports developing piblic land

A lot of things didn't get done or had to be deferred due to covid. Ever tried to do field work from home, you know building trail, etc?

The FS is a different situation for all kinds of reasons that you're obviously not aware of. First being that many of the places where it makes sense to have FS offices, near the National Forest have become wayyyy more desirable. The huge influx of remote workers combined with vrbo business has created a real problem. What used to be affordable and often times undesirable places to live are now the polar opposite. Places where those willing to work in what used to be cheap places for much lower wages is no longer feasible.

Just telling people to commute to the next small town close to the NF doesn't solve shit. That next small town in the NF is experiencing the same thing.

We can also talk about TOS being taken away and wages for FS and other land management agencies being frozen and like always, way under market value compared to the private sector.

You're the typical clown with all the complaints but no solutions. Or, because you don't live it, have ridiculous and unrealistic "solutions" that make as much sense as a soup sandwich.

Carry on with the faux outrage...
Couldn't this be said about many careers?

Including this webpage, people love the electricity yet champion job loss and budget cuts.

Power Generation almost all of you advocate to close. Thoughtfully so at times. Yet you can't live without it. Spent more time in WY than I care to admit. Know more about the grid than most. Wind and solar won't keep the world moving just yet no matter how good you feel about yourself.

I absolutely respect what you do. Have for a long time. Nobody is owed a easy life. We all make sacrifices for a greater good.

We are all replaceable.

None of that fixes the problems...

No, currently we aren't replaceable because the agencies cant hire and if they could arent allowed TOS.

Another problem the private sector doesn't have to deal with.

We're alike Buzz. We are.

Finding Solutions to problems. I get it.

I spent over 30 years, 20 of which representing Power Generation for the benefit of all, only to be let go back in 2022. Was Green Energy long before that term hit the mainstream.

Everyone wants a piece and access to the FS/BLM yet no one can be bothered to lift a finger in your fight.

Seriously, I'm with you 100%. I just know the fight you face better than most.

It seems there are a number of those on HT who are argumentative polemists bent on stirring up controversy, often with little accurate information, logical statements, or realistic valid solutions. Don't know if it's to seek attention or to merely fill an uncomfortable void in life.

If you're talking about me, you couldn't be more wrong.

While not Public Service as Buzz is in the NF, my service to the Public benefit is unquestionable. Globally at that.

All that said, keeping access to these services open to all I'll never waiver on. Public lands, affordable electricity, heat. Non-negotiable

Look jack, the problem with the national budget isn't a house in Jackson.

Its about like saying the $2 coffee once a week at the gas station is the problem with your household budget.

Fix the big stuff first if the budget is your concern.
ok......jack

apparently the public lands forum, isnt the forum for public lands issues.

Heres one for you oh genius of the planet..

Sell tge Jackson office, take the $20+million, roll on down to Freedom, build temp hoises, and buy a coupke Ford Transits to ride to Jackson when needed. The "plight" of the FS is no different thananywhere else I doubt highly state, county, city, or schools ate in any different shape, yet we arent bulldozing public to remedy it.

Ill speak, as both a stake and share holder, and if you dont like it, leave, tge doorcaint locked.Jack

Could you possibly try that again, this time in English?
