Florida hog/fishing

Thinking of doing a little family vacation to ft myers.
Anyone have any leads on where to take my kids for a pig, maybe looking for something a bit different than the normal advertised hunts. Also any good fishing?

The inshore fish are back in the canals this type of year. Take kayaks or canoes into shallow water and float shrimp under popping corks for the kids. Maybe have the adults do some freelining. The shrimp should be jumbo's this time of year, meaning you can throw them in the fry pan after you are done.

I don't know much about hog hunting, but I've done quite a bit of DIY fishing down there the last few springs. Shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to share what I've learned. The last couple years have been tough since the red tide, but there is still plenty of fun to be had and fish to catch. I'm headed down again at the end of April and can't wait.
